MEET Simon

Providence Native. Former Officer. Fighting for Ward 5.

Simon Sarkisian's story is Providence's story. He immigrated from Armenia as a child, grew up in the city's public schools, and chose to give back by serving as a Providence police officer for over two decades. During his 21 years on the force, he built personal relationships with residents across every neighborhood. Today, as Director of Operations for City Life Productions and a business student at Rhode Island College, Simon brings that same dedication to his campaign for City Council Ward 5.

Simon believes Providence deserves a city councilman who actually knows the streets, the neighbors, and the challenges residents face every day. His campaign is built on common sense, community connection, and a commitment to being present — not just at election time, but every single day in office.

From canvassing neighborhoods to listening at community events, Simon has spent his campaign doing what he's always done — showing up. He understands that real change doesn't come from the top down, it comes from neighbors working together. Ward 5 deserves a voice that knows its name, knows its streets, and will fight for its future.
